U.S. nursing shortage needing attention

I came across two articles today on the Internet about the nursing shortage in the U.S. Both stories call for greater assistance from the federal government to plug the increasingly-growing problem.

Thanks for update, Geoff...There's only one thing that the US fed govt should to to address these problems...OPEN THE GATES for the entry of world class Filipino nurses...

I agree, Noel... but to make at least part of that a reality... we should improve our nursing education first. I say down with schools that have hundreds of students per class, that have teachers and clinical instructors who don't teach, and which charge P300/page for a school transcript!
